The Father's House was started in March 2000. It started as a gathering of Christian people walking by faith and not by sight to serve the Lord. The first services were held at Constitution Hall at the University of Central Oklahoma and at the nearby Ramada Plaza.
The group continued to worship together each Sunday and soon a small group of leaders met to discuss forming a church. Through a prophecy given at this initial meeting, Pastor Philip Calvert and his wife Jan were chosen by God to be the pastors of The Father's House. Grace Fellowship through Pastor Bob Yandian became the presiding church and counseled The Father's House as it began to develop into a church of prayer, praise and worship.
The church soon found a more secure site at the Dynamo Gym, home of Olympian gymnast Shannon Miller. Our members completed the interior of the building. At this time the church's governing body was established with trustees and advisors. A church logo was designed by a group of University of Central Oklahoma students. The logo illustrates the energetic spirit of the people at The Father’s house and the welcoming and inviting nature of the church community.
The Father's House established nine ministries that included helps, music, media, evangelism, care, support, fellowships, children's and youth departments. Each department worked vigorously to support the spiritual needs of the people.
As the church became firm in it's foundation, the vision of the church became clearly apparent to the pastor and leaders. Strong, healthy, spiritual families are pleasing to God, and The Father's House is committed to being a church where families can come for strengthening, healing, and spiritual growth.
